Birchway Niagara

About

Birchway Niagara exists to protect and empower members of our community experiencing abuse. This organization, formerly known as Women’s Place, operates a 40-bed shelter in Niagara Falls and provides domestic violence support throughout South Niagara through their 24-hour support line, as well as at outreach offices in Welland, Fort Erie and Port Colborne. The agency also offers public education and prevention programming to help end the cycle of family violence.

Mission: We will be a shoulder to lean on, a voice to advocate for, a space to feel safe in, an ally to trust, a guide to navigate, and a counsellor to heal for everyone affected by abuse of all forms.

Our Impact

How your gift will be used

When you leave a gift to Birchway Niagara as part of your estate planning, you will ensure that members of our community have compassionate services to build a safer future for themselves and their families. Whether they need safe shelter, help with safety planning, counselling, or legal and transitional housing support, your gift will help them on their unique journey. As an ally against abuse, you will also be helping Birchway Niagara to grow, providing services to help everyone impacted by violence, regardless of their race, age, gender, sexuality and economic status.
