For over 70 years, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre has been a world leader in cancer diagnostics, research, and treatment. The trailblazing work of our intrepid doctors and scientists continues to result in breakthrough cancer treatments, global knowledge-sharing, and transformative patient care.

Clinical Care

• We treat over 200 types of cancer, including some of the rarest and most aggressive forms. In fact, some of our doctors see more rare cancers in a day than most doctors see in a year.

• 20% of our patients are in clinical trials, undergoing groundbreaking new treatments and therapies. We have the largest clinical trials program in Canada, and we incorporate state-of-the-art clinical care, while evaluating the most recent developments in cancer medicine.

Global Reach

• We treat almost 20,000 new patients each year, including patients who travel to Toronto from all over the world seeking treatment.

• We partner with 500 leading cancer institutes in 107 countries. As one of the largest hubs of cancer knowledge and talent in the world, we’re training the next generation of global cancer leaders.

Breakthrough Discoveries

• Playing a foundational role in the development of 75% of all new cancer drugs approved by Health Canada and the FDA since 2014.
